Camp 4 Kids is a fundraising effort to assist families to send the children of NUMC to Christian Summer Camps.

Currently, we attend Camp Rockfish (Parkton, NC) and Camp Chestnut Ridge (Efland, NC).  Both Camps are accredited and belong to the NC Methodist Conference.

Thus far, the group has assisted in sending up to 35 kids to camp each summer.  Campers raise money to put in their account, but they also donate a portion of their earnings to help fund scholarships.  Fundraisers include Fall and Spring Plant sales as well as a spring Golf Tournament.  We have fun while raising money to send kids to camp and in these tight economic times, it is difficult to always find "extra" money for camp, but we have been successful in helping campers attend camp with scholarship assistance..

For some campers, this is the first experience of being away from their parents for a week.  During the week, they learn about God through positive experiences with Camp Staff, worship services, activities and other campers.  They make friendships that last with campers from other areas.  Children come home from camp more energized about Christ and more independent.
