Children's Church

“Fathers, do not exasperate your children, instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.” - Ephesians 6:4

Nashville United Methodist offers a special Children's Church for four year olds through 3rd grade. Boys and girls begin in "Big Church" with their parents and come to Children's Church following the Children's Message from our Youth Pastor, Luke Whitehead. Our parent volunteers always have lots of fun activities planned for the children, some of which include:
  • Skits from our favorite puppy, Theo, who has a humorous way of introducing our Bible story.
  • Story Time.
  • Singing.
  • Prayer.
  • Crafts and/or games.
  • Once a month, NUMC's own Puppet Ministry performs a special Biblical skit for the children.

Our children have learned the value of ministering to others through hands-on activities such as:

  • Collecting and packaging gifts for Operation Christmas Child.
  • Making "Homemade Valentines" for children in area hospitals.
  • Collecting gifts for missions in Alaska.

We depend on adult and school aged volunteers to assist with activities. If you would like more information about our programs for children or would like to volunteer, please e-mail Luke Whitehead.
