NavigationChildren > Parents

"Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." RSV Ephesians 6:4

Bringing a child up in faith can sometimes be a struggle in today's society. At NUMC we strive to create not only a atmosphere for growth for children, but also for parents. Check the links under the parents tab for resources, event schedules, safe sanctuaries polices and more.

We support and encourage all parents to become involved in our children's ministry at NUMC. We appreciate that our volunteers who serve in ministry are the foundations for our programs. You will find many opportunities to serve, whether it be working directly with the children or behind the scenes in planning and organization.

Parents working in children's ministry develop relationships not only with the children, but with other parents. These friendships are instrumental in years to come as families support each other in their walk with Christ. The children you work with will look to you as an example of Christ. You will have many opportunities to share examples from your own walk with God. Whatever your role is within our ministry, you are an important part of the body as we work together to minister to the children that God entrusts to our care.
