Senior Adults

Special People
Our church is very fortunate to have an organization for our senior population, which is called "Special People". The meeting time is usually on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from September - May in Cockrell Hall.
Each meeting gives us time to reconnect with friends, eat together, have a devotion, plan activities for the year, and have an interesting porgram. People from other churches are invited to join the group.
For some meetings the memebers bring a sandwich; dessert and drinks are provided. During other meetins, a meal is rovided for a nominal fee.
At all times, it is a relaxing and interesting time scaled to the needs of seniors.
Our 2011 - 2012 Shedule is as follows:
- September 13 - (2nd Tues. due to meeting at the church) Come between 11:30 and 12 noon for refreshments and fellowship) Bring a sandwich and a friend
- October 11 - (2nd Tues. due to State Fair) bring a sandwich and a friend
- November 15 - Thanksgiving/Christmas party Cost $6-$10
- January 17 - Soup $3 made by members
- February 21 - bring a sandwich and a friend
- March 20 - baked spaghetti cost $3-4
- April 17 - bring a sandwich and a friend
- May 15 - catered meal cost $6-10
